A well-established ballet school
At Rana’s School of Ballet we have been nurturing some of Greater Belfast's most promising young dancers for over 40 years. Our ballet school accepts applications from the age of 4 years old, though we can add children who are younger than this to our waiting list.
Classes are open to all as long as they are the required age and they are able to attend the classes regularly. Individual attention is given to every student to help them achieve their full potential. We can accept adults as long as they have some ballet training and/or experience.
We are a member of Royal Academy of Dance
If students are attending regularly and if they have shown satisfactory progress in their training and if they are the required age for a level, then they can be entered into RAD examinations and Class Awards.
Examiners are appointed by RAD HQ in London and they may be traveling from anywhere in the world to Northern Ireland to mark examinations.
Examiners are selected and trained by RAD and their marking system is monitored and standardised. Certificates provided by RAD are accredited by AQA (Assessment and Qualification Alliance in England, Wales and Northern Ireland) - they are also recognised worldwide.
If students continue ballet training to Grades 6,7,8, and/or Intermediate, Advanced Foundation, their exam marks count towards their UCAS points.
