RAD Registered Ballet school

At Rana’s School of Ballet, we have been helping students in the Greater Belfast area express themselves through this beautiful art form for over 20 years. We welcome students from the age of 4 right through to adulthood and believe in giving individual attention to every student to help them reach their potential.

At Rana’s School of Ballet, we follow the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus. This means that if students are attending regularly, have shown satisfactory progress in their training and are the required age for a level, they can be entered into RAD examinations and Class Awards. Experienced and reliable teachers

Rana O’Brien

Rana O’Brien has danced as a professional ballerina in Istanbul State Opera and Ballet Company for 17 years. As well as being a registered teacher of Royal Academy of Dance, she also has an MA degree in Dance Studies which was awarded by Laban Centre for Movement and Dance in 1994. Rana has written dance critiques in daily newspapers and Dance Europe Magazine from 1994 to 2001.

Rana O’Brien is a registered teacher of Royal Academy of Dance. She attends seminars, courses provided for RAD registered teachers and stays up to date with the syllabi of RAD.

Denise Rogan

Denise Rogan started ballet with Rana when she was only 6 years old. She has achieved Royal Academy of Dance Advanced 1 with a High Merit when she was only 19 and is a qualified primary school teacher.

Outstanding Ballet School

Rana is a wonderful teacher and a beautiful person. I have three daughters who attended Rana's ballet - their dancing ability varied greatly. Rana made each one feel very special and developed them in a way which suited them best. Rana's 14 years as a ballet dancer with the Istanbul Ballet has an obvious impact on her teaching. Her knowledge of how a dancer needs to develop is exceptional. Rana's commitment and organisation is second to none. I could not speak highly enough about this school.
